Photo-stability of TiO2 particles coated with several transition metal oxides and its measurement by rhodamine-B degradation

► Gaseous oxygen remarkably affecting photo-catalysis of TiO2 is confirmed. ► Rhodamine-B degradation is employed for evaluation of TiO2 photo-stability. ► TiO2 particles coated with ZrO2, CeO2, CoO and NiO show high photo-stability. ► Coated film function is analyzed with capture capability on the e−/h+.
