The collision efficiency in a shear flow

► We model interactions of sticky particles in a shear flow. ► We examine the efficiency of the particles agglomeration. ► The efficiency depends on dimensionless criteria constructed by mechanical properties of the particles and the flow parameters. ► We propose an expression which relates the efficiency to the dimensionless criteria.
