Optimization of variables in grinding brass particles for paint and pigment industry

► The quality of the powder is assessed on the basis of water coverage, degree of flattening and luster. ► Leafing properties and flakiness are higher in case of materials to ball ratio 0.06. ► Stearic acid is the best additive as compared to paraffin wax and oxalic acid. ► Shinning and leafing property is better with stearic acid containing 0.1 wt.% of the material. ► Using of stearic acid as a grinding additive gives uniform size distribution and equiaxed shape.
