XPM and SPM induced crosstalk in WDM system employing distributed Raman amplifier for DPSK and OOK modulation format

► XPM and SPM induced crosstalk has been studied in WDM system employing DRA. ► Crosstalk has been studied for DPSK and OOK signal in NRZ- and RZ modulation format. ► The 40 Gb/s RZ-DPSK signal with 33.3% duty cycle has minimum induced crosstalk. ► The results also reveal that minimum crosstalk was induced in backward pumped DRA.
