Optical design and analysis of CWDM upstream TWDM PON for NG-PON2

► We propose an asymmetric hybrid passive optical network for next-generation applications. ► The network architecture use based on eight wavelength plan in each direction. ► The overall power budget and link loss characteristics are studied with single-mode fibers. ► The optical transmission feasibilities with up to 60 km distance fibers are investigated. ► Optical interface parameters are recommended for the principal physical layer specification.
