Pedestrian navigation using the sense of touch

► Haptic ensures subtle feedback and less/no attention on the mobile interface. ► We developed four distinct haptic based pedestrian navigation. ► Users successfully reached a given destination using haptic feedback. ► Memory recall and map creation test were carried out after navigation. ► Performance of haptic feedback was better than the landmark image based.
