Reliability analysis of plane elasticity problems by stochastic spline fictitious boundary element method

► A stochastic SFBEM is proposed for reliability analysis of plane elasticity problems. ► SFBEM is introduced into the iteration process of the AFOSM method for reliability analysis. ► The derivations of structural responses with respect to random variables are obtained by SFBEM. ► Good agreement is observed between the results of the present method and the MCS.
