Cognitive compatibility of motorcyclists and car drivers

▶ Identical road situations are experienced differently by motorcyclists and car drivers. ▶ Concurrent verbal protocols extracted from drivers/riders in an on-road experiment yielding over 25,000 data points. ▶ Analysis of verbal data using Leximancer™ software produces semantic networks which serve as a proxy for mental representations of road situations. ▶ Analysis of semantic networks provides novel insights into areas of behavioral compatibility and incompatibility.
