Attitudes and behavior of Chinese drivers regarding seatbelt use

▶ Chinese drivers' attitudes regarding seatbelt use were explored in five cities in China. ▶ Data were collected through interviews, driver observations, and an in-person survey. ▶ Questions explored reasons why Chinese drivers use or do not use seatbelts. ▶ Suggestions on what would be the best interventions to increase seatbelt use in China were explored. ▶ Demographics, seatbelt use and car crashes/traffic violations were investigated.
