▶ The effect of Cruise Control and Adaptive Cruise Control was examined in a driving simulator study. ▶ Both systems lead to a better compliance with speed limits. ▶ For both systems delayed reactions are found to relevant stimuli in the environment ▶ Highly automated assistance systems may reduce situation awareness while driving.
