Synchronous One-Pot (SOP) synthesis of hybrid structures: Metal nanoparticles in self-assemblies of amphiphilic calix[6]biscrowns

► Exquisite nanocarriers are fabricated using AuNPs and amphiphilic calixarene. ► Self-assembly of calixarene and reduction of HAuCl4 take place simultaneously. ► A green strategy is reported to control diameters of AuNPs (2 nm). ► The hybrid material shows promising catalytic property to hydrogenation.
