Multilayer assemblies of polyelectrolyte-gold nanoparticles for the electrocatalytic oxidation and detection of arsenic(III)

► LBL technique was used to fabricate polyelectrolyte-Au nanoparticles assemblies. ► Gold and carbon electrodes were modified with these nanocomposite films. ► The nanocomposites exhibited effective catalytic activity toward As(III) oxidation. ► These materials are of particular interest in arsenic sensing.
