Preparation of bamboo-like PPy nanotubes and their application for removal of Cr(VI) ions in aqueous solution

► The bamboo-like PPy nanotubes have been fabricated via a reactive-template method. ► The bamboo-like PPy nanotubes have a thin wall with the thickness of about 20 nm. ► The PPy nanotubes exhibited excellent properties for Cr(VI) ions removal.
