Morphological determination of face-centered-cubic metallic nanoparticles by X-ray diffraction

► An X-ray diffraction analysis is explored for noble metal fcc nanoparticles. ► Four morphologies, that is, sphere, cube, decahedron, and icosahedron, are identifiable. ► Truncated and perfect strained particle models are created for Debye simulations.
