Synthesis of cross-linked epoxy microparticles: Effect of the synthesis parameters

► Crosslinked microparticles were synthesized via precipitation polymerization. ► Spherical microparticles based on epoxy-amine networks were obtained. ► Particle formation was related to a reaction-induced phase separation mechanism. ► Synthesis parameters (c, a/e, T) and the structure of the diamine were varied. ► These parameters affect the characteristics of the microparticles (Φ, Tg).
