Preparation and characterization of uniform drug particles: Dehydrocholic acid

► We describe the precipitation of dehydrocholic acid, the only artificial bile acid. ► We show that the same drug can be obtained as uniform particles of two different morphologies. ► Dehydrocholic acid is a main component in drugs treating cholestatic liver disease and other conditions.
