Slightly surface-functionalized polystyrene microspheres prepared via Pickering emulsion polymerization using for electrophoretic displays

► Slightly surface-functionalized PS microspheres are prepared by photocatalytic Pickering emulsion polymerization. ► Sodium styrene sulfonate modified titania hydrosol is used as stabilizer. ► PS microspheres with small size, narrow distribution, and uniform surface chemistry are achieved. ► PS microspheres with slightly modified surface are expected to be suitable for the application of E-ink.
