Mesoporous silica SBA-15 sheet with perpendicular nanochannels

► SBA-15 thin sheet with perpendicular nanochannels was synthesized in confined space of vesicle. ► The ends of the channels are open and the channel length is uniform in the range of 60-300 nm. ► The thickness and orientation of the mesostructure show pH and temperature-dependence. ► Orientation controls of the pores in SBA-15 are analyzed with modern theory of assembly of block-copolymer.
