Usefulness of alkoxyltitanosiloxane for the preparation of mesoporous silica containing a large amount of isolated titanium

► Isopropoxytris(tris-tert-butoxysiloxy)titanium (TS3: (iPrO)Ti[OSi(OtBu)3]3 was synthesized. ► Ti-containing mesoporous silica was prepared by pyrolysis of TS3 through a hard template method. ► The method provides mesoporous silica with very high Si/Ti ratio.
