Non-ionic, thermo-responsive DEA/DMA nanogels: Synthesis, characterization, and use for DNA separations by microchip electrophoresis

► DEA/DMA co-polymer nanogels obtained in only in a certain narrow range of synthesis temperatures. ► Nonionic DEA/DMA nanogels display tunable phase transition temperatures of between 26 and 67 °C. ► Concentrated, 8% w/v dispersions of DEA/DMA nanogels show optical clarity at room temperature. ► Nanogel-doped networks enable ultra-fast high resolution DNA analysis by chip electrophoresis.
