Preparation of USY zeolite VOx supported catalysts from V(AcAc)3 and NH4VO3. Catalytic properties for the dehydrogenation of n-butane in oxygen-free atmosphere

NH3 thermal desorption for (a) zeolite USY, (b) and (c) VOx supported on USY surface. The addition of VOx to USY surface strongly decreases the acidity of the zeolite. This diminution renders the system more selective as a catalyst for the dehydrogenation of n-butane.
