Characteristic study on an ESD suppressor by the FDTD method

► The FDTD method was used to study the characteristics of an ESD suppressor. ► Obtained capacitance of the suppressor was checked by measured and numerical data. ► Higher trigger and clamping voltages were found for the suppressor filled with air.
