A new tracking algorithm for certain mechanical systems

A new algorithm is proposed for synthesizing a delayed on-off control for tracking slow motions of a certain class of mechanical systems. The conditions for a control to exist are found and examples are given of the solution of the tracking problem for inverted and double inverted pendulums.
