Experimental and numerical study of the role of crystallographic texture on the formability of an electro-galvanized steel sheet

► We modeled the influence of plastic anisotropy on DQ-type steel FLDs. ► We observed minimal differences among FLDs at 0°, 45° and 90° with rolling direction. ► MK-VPSC predictions are consistent with the observed data. ► MK-FC predicts extremely high limit strain for equi-biaxial loading paths. ► Results can be explained in terms of typical ideal-orientation components.
