Rapid processing & characterization of micro-scale functionally graded porous materials

► Micro-functionally graded regions were generated in nickel powder compacts. ► Current activated tip based sintering was used to control localized sintering. ► Pore content and pore size distribution were investigated for all initial densities. ► Green density and powder particle size strongly affected the porosity distribution.
