Electro-thermal measurements and finite element method simulations of a spark plasma sintering device

► Current, voltage and temperature measurements were performed to clarify the operation of the SPS. ► High frequency voltage and current measures shows there is no inductive effect in the SPS column. ► These measures enable us to improve an electro-thermal model by the finite element method (FEM). ► Use of RMS voltage, chamber temperature, graphite properties lead to more realistic simulations.
