► When the reduction increased during rolling process, the porosity of the composites decreased. ► Increasing the reduction ratio greatly improved the uniformity of SiC particles. ► The tensile strength of the composites increased by increasing the reduction ratio. ► By increasing the reduction ratio, the elongation of the composites improved.
