Tribological characteristics of electroless Ni-B coating and optimization of coating parameters using Taguchi based grey relational analysis

► Friction and wear of electroless Ni-B coatings are optimized by Taguchi approach. ► Concentration of reducing agent has the maximum contribution on friction and wear. ► Interaction of bath temperature and nickel concentration has some contribution. ► The wear mechanism is found to be abrasive in nature.
