Multi-period layout planning for hospital wards

► We present two mathematical models to plan ward layouts over multiple periods. ► We consider the varying demand for different-sized bed rooms on a ward. ► We model both a fixed and a variable ward layout with adaptable room sizes. ► The models can be used by hospital planners as decision support tool.
