A study on biogas generation from Mahua (Madhuca indica) and Hingan (Balanites aegyaptiaca) oil seedcake

► India's biogas resource can be enhanced by feedstock other than cattle dung. ► Seedcakes of Madhuca indica and Balanites aegyaptiaca for biogas were tested. ► Both seedcakes exhibit good biogas generation potential. ► High nitrogen and other nutrients in slurry could be used as organic manure.
