Comparison of catalytic activities for photocatalytic and sonocatalytic degradation of methylene blue in present of anatase TiO2-CNT catalysts

► The incorporation of CNT-supported anatase TiO2 catalyst has a high specific surface area, excellent structure and morphology. ► The anatase TiO2-CNT catalysts showed much higher photo- and sono-activity. ► The sonocatalytic activity of anatase TiO2-CNT catalyst is superior to the photocatalytic activity. ► Ultrasound de-aggregating anatase TiO2-CNT catalyst particles increase catalyst surface area.
