Solvothermal synthesis of anhydrous γ-Mn(CH3COO)2: A weak ferromagnet with an ordering temperature of 40 K and spin-glass behavior

A new anhydrous Mn(II) acetate, γ-Mn(CH3COO)2, has been synthesized on a large scale under solvothermal condition and magnetic measurements show that it behaves as a weak ferromagnet (canted antiferromagnet) with TC = 40 K with a glassy behavior.
