Hydrothermal synthesis and characterization of a novel two-dimensional bimetallic oxide network based on molybdenum oxide chain: [Zn(HPBIM)2(H2O)2Mo6O20]

A novel 2D bimetallic oxide layer of [Zn(HPBIM)2(H2O)2Mo6O20] based on 1D trimolybdenum oxide chain has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized. It represents the first example that trimolybdenum oxide chain of this type was extended into 2D network.
