Synthesis, crystal, luminescent properties and electronic structures of two copper(I) halide polymers based on Cu4I4 cubane tetramers

Two coordination polymers [Cu4I4(en)2]n1 and [Cu4I4(pn)2]n2 containing Cu4I4 cubane tetramers were prepared. Compound 1 displays a 3D framework and 2 possesses a 2D layer, respectively.
