DNA cleavage activities and mechanism of a novel heterodinuclear macrocyclic complex

A new unsymmetrical bis-furan pendant-armed macrocyclic heterodinuclear Cu(II)Zn(II) complex [CuZn(L)(OAc)](ClO4)·3CH3CN·H2O was synthesized and characterized. The viscosity, DNA binding and cleavage were also investigated.
