New mononuclear CuII and ZnII complexes capable of stabilizing phenoxyl radicals as models for the active form of galactose oxidase

Presented here is the structure of a new CuII-phenolate complex which shows some physicochemical properties relevant to the active site of galactose oxidase in its semi form as well as in its one-electron oxidized form.
