Synthesis, characterization and crystal structure of bis(5′-methyl-2,2′-bipyridine-6-carboxylato) ruthenium(II)

A Ru(II) complex with the ligand 5′-methyl-2,2′-bipyridine-6-carboxylate has been synthesized following a one step reaction and fully characterized. The molecular structure was confirmed by X-ray crystallography.
