Synthesis, molecular structures and norbornene addition polymerization activity of the neutral nickel catalysts supported by N-naphthyl-salicylaldiminato ligands

3-R1-5-R2-(naphthyl-NCH)-C6H2O]Ni(Ph)(PPh3) can be used as catalysts for the addition polymerization of norbornene in the presence of methylaluminoxane as co-catalyst in high activities.
