Alkaline earth metal poly(hydrogen fluorides) hexafluoroarsenates(V) and hexafluorophosphate(V): M2(H2F3)(HF2)2(AF6) (MÂ =Â Ca, AÂ =Â As; MÂ =Â Sr, AÂ =Â As, P)

Poly(hydrogen fluorides) HF2− and H2F3− act as ligands to Ca and Sr hexafluoroarsenates(V) and Sr hexafluorophosphate(V) yielding a new type of polymeric compounds M2(H2F3)(HF2)2(AF6). This is the first example that HF2− and H2F3− are simultaneously bridging metal centers.
