Effect of an elastic wall on the dynamics of an encapsulated microbubble: A simulation study

► We study the effect of an elastic wall on the dynamics of a contrast microbubble. ► Three types of walls are studied: plastic, aluminium, and a biological tissue. ► The effect of a wall is stronger when bubbles are excited above resonance. ► The effect of a wall increases with decreasing bubble size. ► The effect of a wall on the 2nd harmonic is stronger than that on the fundamental.
