Tuning giant magnetoimpedance response of Fe75.5Si13.5B7Nb3Cu1 amorphous ribbon by laser ablation

► The response of maximum magnetoimpedance is tuned from 13 Oe to 49 Oe. ► This phenomenon is realized by laser ablation. ► The direction of laser ablation was parallel or perpendicular to the long axis. ► The magnetic properties of amorphous ribbons were retained during the ablation.
