Hysteretic giant magnetoimpedance effect analyzed by first-order reversal curves

► Hysteretic giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) of FeCoSiB amorphous ribbons. ► Adaptation of first-order reversal curve (FORC) method to GMI measurement. ► Model with a complex hysteron of 4 transitions, 1 saturation state: dual-hysteron. ► Frequency deslocates the transition fields. ► Anisotropy hardens the irreversible transverse permeability switching.
