Effect of In3+ ions doping on the structural and magnetic properties of Mg0.2Mn0.5Ni0.3InxFe2−xO4 spinel ferrites

► Single phase Mg0.2Mn0.5Ni0.3InxFe2−xO4 ferrites were synthesized by citrate precursor method. ► Magnetic properties have been improved due to the doping of In3+ ions in Mg0.2Mn0.5Ni0.3InxFe2−xO4 ferrites. ► The value of RLF (relative loss factor) has been reduced by three orders of magnitude. ► As compared to samples prepared by conventional ceramic method. ► Low values of RLF at high frequency indicate that materials have potential for use in microwave devices and deflection yoke.
