The structural, magnetic, electrical/thermal transport properties and reversible magnetocaloric effect in Fe-based antipervoskite compound AlC1.1Fe3

► We report the magnetic, electrical/thermal transport properties of AlC1.1Fe3. ► There exists a second-order ferromagnetic-paramagnetic transition at 292 K. ► The RCP is ∼126 J/kg (∼281 J/kg, 69% of that of Gd) with ΔH=20 kOe (45 kOe). ► The dominant carriers in AlC1.1Fe3 are hole-type by studying thermal properties.
