Influence of Ce doping on electrical and thermal properties of La0.7−xCexCa0.3MnO3 (0.0≤x≤0.7) manganites

► We report the effects of Ce doping in manganites La0.7−xCexCa0.3MnO3. ► The Curie temperature decreases systematically with increasing Ce content. ► Different magnetic ground states were found for 0.0≤x≤0.3 and 0.4≤x≤0.7. ► The small polaron mechanism is operative in the insulting paramagnetic state.
