Magnetic structure studies of ternary borides Er2−xCexFe14B

► Spin reorientation phenomenon in Er2−xCexFe14B compounds was studied by means of Mössbauer spectroscopy and magnetic measurements. ► For x=1compound pseudo-single crystal was prepared in order to study in detail the transition process by observing changes of relative line intensities in Zeeman sextet. ► Datas for spin reorientation temperatures were obtained from different methods and compared.► Hypothesis of conical spin arrangement in compounds with the high Ce content is not supported by the obtained results.
