Electromagnetic and microwave absorption properties of Fe-Sr0.8La0.2Fe11.8Co0.2O19 shell-core composites

► Shell-core Fe-Sr0.8La0.2Fe11.8Co0.2O19 composites were prepared by CVD. ► An Fe coating improves the dielectric loss of Sr0.8La0.2Fe11.8Co0.2O19. ► Fe-Sr0.8La0.2Fe11.8Co0.2O19 composites exhibit excellent microwave absorption properties. ► A reflection loss exceeding −10 dB is reached at 4.0 GHz. ► The minimum reflection loss reaches −30 dB.
