Structural and magnetic properties of nanocrystalline stannic substituted cobalt ferrite

► The spinel ferrite system has been formed at 1000 °C by using ceramic techniques. ► Structural and microstructural evolutions have been studied using XRD and the Rietveld method. ► The refinement result showed cationic distribution in the lattice is partially an inverse spinel. ► The transmission electronic microscope analysis confirmed the X-ray results. ► Magnetic properties of the samples were characterized by using a vibrating sample magnetometer.
