Effect of pulsed magnetic field annealing on the microstructure and texture of grain-oriented silicon steel

► Cold rolled silicon steel is annealed under pulsed magnetic field. ► Directions of magnetic fields are different with respect to sample. ► Grain size of sample annealed with pulsed magnetic field is bigger. ►The effect of annealing is dependent on the directions of magnetic field. ► A hypothesis which can explain our results is proposed.
