The behaviors of ferromagnetic nano-particles in and around blood vessels under applied magnetic fields

►Predicts which blood vessels and tissues can be reached by magnetic drug targeting. ►Equations are governed by the magnetic-Richardson, Péclet, and Renkin numbers. ►Three behavior regions: velocity dominated, magnetic dominated, or boundary layer. ►Our 3 non-dimensional numbers uniquely predict the type of behavior. ►Predictions were in excellent agreement with both in-vitro and in-vivo prior studies.
